Cafe Heumarkt in Cologne

The ambience is very nice. But that after 5 minutes there are no rolls, sausage and butter, and that you have to wait for a latte macchiato for over 30 minutes. This is sad for a café that is in the Maritim Hotel. And 2 stars is a lot.

Just sad, ordered cocoa, latte, cheese and apple pie. After about 5 minutes everything came, except for the apple pie. We waited at first, when the next table was completely served, the guests ordered after us, the service came to us and announced, the apple pie was on. Looking at the next table, I saw the last piece of apple pie. When paying, was still trying to settle the cake we did not receive. After a lot of back and forth, we have to pay 80 cent less than with the cake, because not a complete price. Two stars only because the cheesecake was edible

Very bad service. We waited a long time for coffee and cake. Finally got it at the counter, like other guests. Waitress talked it out that it was full, which was not true. The situation was the same on our last visit. This was the last visit to this "shop".

Every year again ... On Christmas Day with friends who are staying at the Maritim, met for a coffee. Even when it was empty, the staff (3 operations) was completely overwhelmed. We waited more than half an hour for the cake, for the coffee another 15 minutes. Last year it the same problem. This year as an increase: there was no cream to the cake.

We were there for breakfast yesterday and it was really great. There was a "German breakfast buffet. The price-performance ratio is really great. The service was very friendly. For breakfast without high standards highly recommended!

Very friendly service fine coffee ☕️ in the Maritim Hotel. Very good cake ? and very pleasant atmosphere. To have a small but delicious breakfast. Very cozy atmosphere.

Not recommended Have never had such a bad breakfast

Wanted to reserve a table on Tuesday for Weiberfastnacht. Nobody could help me on my first call. I should ask again 10 minutes later. I did that too. Then a lady told me that for this day no reservations would be accepted, we should just come over, which we did then. When we wanted to have breakfast on Weiberfastnacht, we were denied access to the café. We then called the café and a lady waved us to come upstairs. Nevertheless, we were denied access. The lady was then neither personally, nor by phone for us to reach. We fell ill because we waited more than an hour. Conclusion: Rude, disorganized, bad customer service. I will not go here anymore. Above all, incompetent.

Great service, excellent coffee. Only to be recommended!
